As CTO at GS1 Egypt, I lead product, engineering, design, data, enterprise IT and application support. My responsibility connects the digital roadmap to investment decisions, risk, service reliability and commercial viability.
My career has taken me from enterprise software and telecom data platforms to global cloud services, AI and standards-based digital ecosystems. Across GS1 Egypt, Microsoft, Unifonic and Orange, the focus has stayed consistent: build useful capabilities, make them dependable, and turn them into lasting business value.

Lead the technology organization and digital portfolio across healthcare, agriculture and retail, reporting to the CEO.
- Set the roadmap for pharmaceutical serialization and traceability software, agricultural operations platforms and digital identification services.
- Launched digital registration for pharmaceutical entities using internationally standardized identifiers, simplifying supply-chain onboarding.
- Connect budgets, SaaS pricing, profitability studies and investment priorities with product delivery and service operations.
- Oversee cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, technology risk and ecosystem interoperability with government and industry partners.

Led engineering for Azure-based services within the global Microsoft Advertising ecosystem.
- Directed full-stack teams delivering cloud services and data capabilities for a global advertising platform.
- Strengthened production reliability through monitoring, alerting and performance improvements.
- Advanced customer insight capabilities to support campaign analysis and marketing decisions.

Led the Egypt engineering hub across cloud communications, full-stack development, data engineering and AI.
- Operationalized AI and natural-language processing for omnichannel customer communication.
- Delivered the central data warehouse platform, enabling real-time reporting and advanced analytics.
- Contributed to acquisition due diligence, evaluating architecture and technology risk.
- Served as deputy GM for Egypt office operations and local engagement.

Progressed from software and customer experience platforms to enterprise data leadership, alongside a concurrent advisory role with Orange Group.
- Led data lake and analytics adoption, integrating data warehouse and big data capabilities to support customer experience and commercial decisions.
- Governed data operations, vendor commitments, cybersecurity and technology risk.
- Contributed architecture guidance and shared technology standards through international Orange communities and the Big Data Common Core working group.
